Abstract
The structure is used for a core storage stack and provides easy access to the cards of which it is composed and a distribution of interconnections which does not inhibit natural ventilation. The unit consists of address decoding circuits on one or more printed circuit cards, a number of ferrite core store circuit cards and decoding circuits with interconnecting wires. The cards are held together by threaded rods through the centres and near the corners of each board. The boards are separated by spacers threaded onto the rods between the boards and two lids placed at top and bottom of the unit. The decoder boards are interconnected by plug and socket links whilst the memory cards are connected to them and to each other by soldered connections along the edges of the boards. The corners of the boards are notched and the interconnecting cables run in the notches between boards and along the edges of the boards outside of the spacers.
