Abstract
Water-based injectable solns. are prepd. which contain micelle formers, lipoidic substances, one or more pharmaceutically active cpds. which is/are insol. or only slightly sol. in water, isotonic additives and optionally water-sol. pharmaceutically active cpds. and/or their ingredients which are mixed together. Micelle forming substances when used for parenteral application cause side-effects such as allergic reactions, anaphylactic shock, hemolysis and pyrogenic reactions. Natural micelle forming substances e.g. gallic acid cause hemolysis. This hemolysis is overcome by addn. of the lipoids thus allowing the formation of injectable micellar solns. of insol. cpds.
