Abstract

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

System for detecting the presence of workers on the rear platforms of garbage and waste collection trucks and container washing trucks according to the preamble of claim 1 and known from DE 19717162 A.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This system applies to refuse and waste collection lorries and container lorries or container lorry lorries, where during the course of the lorry workers are installed standing on rear platforms and are seized to a handle provided on the back of the truck.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Detection of lorry washing trucks Different systems have been used for the presence of workers on the rear garbage and waste collection platforms and container lorries. 1

One of the known systems controls said presence by means of sensors provided to detect a given weight on said platform. This system is not safe because it does not detect if the worker is attached to the handle, with the consequent danger that such imprecision may represent.

Another known system consists of the installation of sensors that are provided to detect the position of the platforms (platform retracted equals unoccupied platform and extended platform equals occupied platform). This system is not very functional due to the fact that at each stop of the truck it is necessary to reposition the platforms, which requires a lot of maneuvering operations, causing a substantial loss of time.

Other known systems use optical, ultrasonic or laser emissions, etc. However, these emitters do not cover all the spaces where the worker can move, so it is not guaranteed that the worker is occupying the platform correctly or grabbing the handle.

Generally, these trucks have a rearview camera in the cockpit so that the driver can see what is happening on the back of the truck.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This invention has as its object a high security detection system adapted to fit the aforementioned 2 trucks without the need for substantial changes in their structure.

This system is characterized by the installation of a transmitter active in the platform and an active receiver in the handle, the platform and the handle having galvanic isolation for the proper operation of the system, the worker's body acting on the platform and attached to the handle, as a capacitive bridge, the receiver that generates the signal indicative of the correct arrangement of the worker on the platform.

This system optionally provides the incorporation of the identifying device in the worker, which will indicate if this is the person who is supposed to be on the platform.

This and other distinguishing features will become more apparent from the following detailed description which will be understood more readily by means of the accompanying drawings which show a practical embodiment cited only by way of non-limiting example of the scope of the present invention. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS In the drawings: Fig. 1 shows diagrammatically a type of lorry where this detector system will be installed; Fig. 2 shows diagrammatically the components of the system to be incorporated in the truck and its operation; and Fig. 3 is a wiring diagram of the circuit of this system.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

According to the drawings, this worker detection system is to be applied to a truck (C) at its rear having on each side a platform (P) and a handle (A), wherein the workers (0) are arranged when the truck is moving.

This system comprises the installation of an active transmitter (1) on the platform (P) and an active receiver (2) in the handle (A), said platform holding a galvanic insulation (3), the worker's body ( 0) as a capacitive bridge (4), the receiver (2) generating the signal (5) indicative of the correct arrangement of the worker on the platform.

This signal (5) can be processed by CAN-Bus and / or by digital contact.

An option offered by this system is also possible, in which the worker is provided with an identifier device (6) which will be transported, for example, in a pocket of the pants and with which, and by means of a reading module, will be checked if the detected person is the one who is supposed to occupy the position at his disposal on the platform.

In essence, the invention may be practiced in other embodiments, differing only from that which is exemplified herein and which also obtains the protection provided. This system for detecting the presence of workers on the rear platforms of garbage and waste collection trucks and container washing trucks can thus be manufactured in any shape or size with the most suitable means and materials, components to be replaced by other technically equivalent ones because all of this is included in the claims.

A system for detecting the presence of workers (0) on the rear platforms of garbage and waste collection trucks and container washing trucks, the truck (C) comprising at its rear part handles (A) for the workers (0) cling; characterized in that it comprises the installation of an active transmitter (1) on the platform (P) and a receiver (2) active in the handle of the platform and the handle having galvanic insulation (3), the worker's body acting as platform and gripped to the handle, as a capacitive bridge (4), the receiver generating the signal (5) indicative of the correct arrangement of the worker on the platform. A system for detecting the presence of workers on the rear platforms of garbage and waste collection trucks and container washing trucks, according to claim 1, characterized in that the worker has a device ( 6) identifier in order to be identified on the platform.
