Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a cleaning tool mop, consisting of strands of an absorbent textile material.

Antecedentes da InvençãoBackground of the Invention

Traditional mops comprise strands consisting of strands or braided cotton fibers, which may include fibers of a synthetic nature. These strands are joined by means of a head of plastic material, in the case of household cleaning utensils, or by means of an intermediate strip, in the case of cleaning utensils for industrial use.

In order to increase the duration of the mops and their absorption capacity, the respective cords can be formed differently.

Thus, from Utility Model No. 9701213, there is shown a mop of the type in which the absorbent textile material consists of a knitted or lined yarn coated with a carded fabric in the form of bag or tubular. The carded fabric may consist of beaded fibers formed wholly or partially by microfibers. Although this constitution provides a longer duration, its manufacture proves to be costly, since it requires the formation of the yarn or knitted yarn and the respective covering with a carded fabric forming a protective covering. International patent application W098 / 52458 describes three-dimensional structures useful as cleaning sheets. Optionally, macroscopically three-dimensional cleaning sheets may comprise a backing material which, when heated and then cooled, shrinks to provide a macroscopic three-dimensional structure. Cleaning instruments comprising a cable and the described cleaning sheets are also disclosed.

Also disclosed are the processes for the sheets, the advantages of the processes and the articles of manufacture. US 18,559,400 illustrates a map according to the preamble of the independent claim.

OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is to provide a long-lasting absorbent mop with a high absorptive capacity and an affordable price compared to mops composed of similar materials.

OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION The absorbent mop of the invention is of the type comprising several strands which are supported by means of a headpiece or a tape and is characterized in that each strand comprises several strands composed of synthetic microfibers .

The microfibers of synthetic nature have a great length and joints form wires, to which said microfibers are joined together by interlacing or joined ends.

In turn, the yarns composed of microfibers are joined to form the strands. This joint may comprise at least two twisted yarns which are twisted (if this method is used, at least three yarns will be required) and even joined together by interlacing or joined ends.

Thus, yarns are successively obtained from the microfibers, which are joined in the manner explained, so as to form the strands.

The strands with the explained constitution are arranged in the traditional way so as to form the mop, ie forming a group or collection of strands which are fixed by means of a headpiece or by means of a tape, depending on the practical use of the absorbent mop.

The cords forming the absorbent mop can further be joined by means of a tape parallel to and proximate the loose end of said cords.

4In the formation of the absorbent mop, the cords may be cut to a length approximately equal to twice the length of the absorbent mop, being joined in the respective central part through the headpiece or the tie tape. The strands may also have a much longer length than that of the absorbent mop, being arranged in a folded form and such folds defining the ends of the mop. In both the first and the second case, the strands can be joined consecutively by a tape that transversely crosses said strands to the loose end and is sewn to said strands. 4

In all other respects, the absorbent mop of the invention may include and adopt the constitutions of traditional mops such as, for example, having the white or any other color strands.
