DESTA FORMA, A PRESENTE INVENÇÃO É ÚTIL PARA DETETAR A DEPOSIÇÃO DE ÁGUA E FORMAÇÃO DE GELO, EM PERMUTADORES DE CALOR. O CORPO DO SENSOR (1) SEPARA DOIS OU MAIS ELÉTRODOS (2), ENTRE OS QUAIS É MEDIDA A QUEDA DE TENSÃO, QUE VARIA DE ACORDO COM A RESISTÊNCIA ELÉTRICA DO MATERIAL QUE SE ENCONTRE DEPOSITADO ENTRE OS ELÉTRODOS (2), SEJA AR, ÁGUA OU GELO. UM MATERIAL NÃO CONDUTOR POROSO (3), PODE SER UTILIZADO ENTRE OS DOIS ELÉTRODOS (2) PARA FACILITAR A CRIAÇÃO DE UMA PONTE DE ÁGUA OU GELO ENTRE OS ELÉTRODOS (2). ESTE SENSOR É CONECTADO A UM CONTROLADOR, ATRAVÉS DE UM CABO OU TERMINAIS (4).
