The present disclosure thus applies, in the domain of technologies for traceability and authentication, with application in any type of activity where it is necessary the identification of materials marked with DNA.

Background [0002] Counterfeit products entering supply chains are gaining in unprecedented proportions, with alarming consequences on corporate revenues and consumer health and safety worldwide. There is thus a growing need for innovative technologies to combat counterfeiting and to protect the population against counterfeit and adulterated products. Several systems of product authentication and certification of its origin are currently widely implemented. The most common are the use of adhesive labels with or without bar codes and electronic tags with radio frequency identification (RFID). However, the various counterfeit techniques have been rapidly evolving, thus making traditional authentication methods vulnerable.
