The essence of the design is a new form of the telephone, manifested in its shape, line layout, and aesthetic surface properties, giving the design a new and original appearance. The design is shown in the attached illustration. The telephone consists of a box-shaped base, a cord, and a handle containing the handset and microphone. On one of the longer sides, the top plate has larger recesses located at both ends. The surface of the larger recess replicates the shape of the handset. The surface of the smaller recess replicates the shape of the microphone. The outer edges of the smaller recess and the larger recess, running along the long side of the base, form two equal and mutually parallel straight segments. In a side view, the top plate runs diagonally upward, and along a distance corresponding to the length of the smaller recess, the straight edge of the plate transitions into an arc. The surface of the top plate of the base, on the part lying beyond the smaller recess and the larger recess, has an arc-shaped recess. In the arc-shaped recess, there are twelve equal buttons, arranged in equal and equidistant rows. Furthermore, between the buttons and the edge of the arc-shaped recess, lying on the short side of the base, resembles a rectangle with semicircular bulges running along one of its short sides, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
