Description
Sposób obróbki cieplno-chemicznej weglików spiekanych Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób obróbki cieplno-chemicznej weglików spiekanych, w strumieniu gazu zawierajacego wodór i chlorek tytanu. Cel ten uzyskano, wedlug wynalazku, przez wprowadzenie w sklad obrabiajacej mieszanki gazowej boru w postaci zwiazku z jednym z pierwiastków z grupy chlorowców, najlepiej z bromem. Wprowadzenie w sklad strumienia obrabiajacego boru powoduje wydzielenie z niego w czasie obróbki cieplno chemicznej borku tytanu, w mysl reakcji 2BBi3 + TiCl4 + 5H2 -? TiU2 + 4HC1 t 6HBr i osadzeniejego w postaci warstwy na scianach weglika spiekanego.Obrobiony sposobem wedlug wynalazku weglik spiekany wykazuje nieco wieksza twardosc, niz jaka uzyskuje sie po obróbce w strumieniu gazu obrabiajacego zawierajacego weglowodór, ale za to o wiele wyzsza trwalosc, zwlaszcza w przypadku zastosowania obrobionych wedlug wynalazku weglików spiekanych do skra¬ wania z duzymi predkosciami metali i stopów trudnoobrabialnych. PL PLMethod of thermo-chemical treatment of sintered carbides The subject of the invention is a method of thermo-chemical treatment of sintered carbides in a gas stream containing hydrogen and titanium chloride. It is known that in order to improve the usable properties of sintered carbons, especially their abrasion resistance, they are heated at temperatures above 800 ° C, in a gas stream containing hydrogen, titanium chloride and hydrocarbon. The titanium carbide released in these conditions from the gaseous stream settles on the walls of the sintered carbides, forming a layer with a hardness greater than that of the treated sintered carbide and improving its functional properties in this way. The aim of the invention is to increase the impact of thermo-chemical treatment on the improvement of its own properties According to the invention, this aim is achieved by incorporating in the treatment gas mixture boron in the form of a compound with one of the halogen elements, preferably with bromine. The introduction of boron into the treatment stream causes the release of titanium boride during the thermal chemical treatment, according to the reaction 2BBi3 + TiCl4 + 5H2 -? TiU2 + 4HC1 t 6HBr and depositing it in the form of a layer on the walls of sintered carbons. The cemented carbide treated according to the invention has a slightly higher hardness than that obtained after treatment in a hydrocarbon-containing treatment gas stream, but a much higher durability in the case of the use of the cemented carbons treated according to the invention for high speed cutting of metals and difficult-to-cut alloys.
