Wszystkie powyzsze me¬ tody wymagaja szeregu zabiegów majacych na ce¬ lu przystosowanie maszyny do pomiarów. Woltomierz elektroniczny V zawiera mier¬ nik wychylowy wyskalowany bezposrednio w stop¬ niach iskrzenia Zasilacz Z dostarcza energii da pracy wzmacniacza ukladu calkujacego i wolto- 5 mierza. Bezposrednie wskazania miernika daja mozliwosc natychmiastowego odczytu stopnia iskrzenia. PLPublished: 10/11/1970 59107 IC. 21 d3, 2 MKP H02k / Mf00 t 9 «iji iv. Inventors: Wlodzimierz Raczkowski, MSc, Jedrzej Szczepinski, MSc, Miroslaw Malwicki, MSc. Patent owner: Electrotechnical Institute, Warsaw (Poland) Method of measuring the degree of sparking The subject of the invention is a method of measuring the degree of sparking of electric machines and a device for using this method, allowing to obtain a direct and objective reading. At present, the assessment of the degree of sparking is usually done visually by an observer sparkling brush variations. This method is remarkably subjective, and the result of the evaluation is also dependent on the practice of the observer, the number of brushes available for inspection and the brightness of the external lighting. In addition, in some cases of normal machine operation, it is impossible to observe sparking. There are also several methods of objectively determining the degree of sparking using side phenomena occurring during the sparking of the machine. One of them is the photometric method, which is a variation of the visual method. This method involves the use of a photocell with a lens directed at the sparking edge of the brush as a sensor and processing the resulting electrical signals. The photocell sensor requires a darkened space for installation. Another method is to measure the voltage drop across the brushes. This method requires the installation of additional special measuring brushes, and the modification of this method with oscillographic recording requires the analysis of the obtained waveforms. All of the above methods require a number of steps to adapt the machine to the measurements. The object of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages of the above-mentioned methods and to quickly and objectively measure the degree of sparking without the need for special adaptation of the tested machines to the measurements. This aim was achieved by measuring the intensity of the electromagnetic field emitted by the mutating coils of the machines. The value of the field intensity depends on the degree of sparking, while its frequency depends on the inductance and the internal capacity of the machine coils. The main element reacting to the electromagnetic field is an inductive sensor located within the range of this field and generating a voltage proportional to the value of its intensity in the place of measurement. By means of an electric filter, high-frequency voltages characteristic only for the sparking state are separated, while alternating voltages are suppressed along with with their harmonics arising during the commutation of the turns and low-frequency voltages coming from other sources, eg from the power supply. After appropriate shaping and possible strengthening, these voltages can trigger a tilt meter calibrated directly in the degrees of sparking. The most important advantages of the described method of measurement include: independence from the subjective characteristics of the observer, the need for special preparation of the machine, the possibility of continuous observation and automatic registration of the degree of sparking, carrying out measurements from distant stations 59 10759 107 and the possibility of measuring the sparking of machines in places inaccessible for visual evaluation. In an exemplary technical solution, the method of measuring the degree of sparking according to the invention was used in the device shown in the block diagram on drawing. The first element of the measuring device is the sensor C located inside the commutator chamber of the tested machine. The next part is the high-pass filter F. The high-frequency band separated by this filter is then amplified in the electronic amplifier W. The R controller is used to adjust the gain, thus adjusting the measuring device to different types of tested machines. The T-segment contains integrating circuits different time constants for the voltage increase and decrease obtained from the sensor. This member is indispensable for smooth movement of the meter pointer and to make the indication independent of instantaneous and random impulse voltages that the sensor may provide. The electronic voltmeter V comprises a oscillation meter calibrated directly in the degrees of sparking. The power supply Z supplies energy for the operation of the generator amplifier and the voltmeter. Direct indications of the meter make it possible to immediately read the degree of sparking. PL
