Description

Pierwszenstwo: 15 kwietnia 1924 r. (Niemc50-? PLPriority: April 15, 1924 (German 50-? When using inert or basic compounds of calcium hypochlorite, technically free of chloride, the most important thing is, as is known, their durability. So far, calcium hypochlorite was dried, possibly in a vacuum and in a heated air current, for it has turned out that even a very low moisture content accelerates the decomposition of calcium hypochlorite rapidly. But the removal of the latter residual moisture by heat, possibly in a vacuum, presents the greatest difficulty. The present invention gives a method of completely drying the calcium hypochlorite in in much shorter time and more economically, and this method consists in the first drying of the hypochlorite by the action of heat to a moisture content of e.g. 1%, then the remaining moisture is removed by the addition of water-binding agents such as salts or oxides, especially lime (CaOJ, not having a chemical relationship with calcium hypochlorite. the result is a preparation that is many times more durable than preparations dried only by the action of heat. The method of removing moisture with the help of salts, oxides, etc. is known per se; the special case of treating calcium chloride with lime with CaO loss is also known. In this case, however, large amounts of CaO, at least 30%, are required to completely bind the water with the lime, so that the product obtained is not a high percentage. On the other hand, a new method is used to obtain a product which is initially dried, so that the addition of water-binding compounds can be very small, as a result of which the final product only suffers slightly from this. at the end of the preliminary drying process, that is, to the still hot product, as this accelerates the final drying process. As calcium hypochlorite compounds, inert calcium hypochlorite as well as its alkaline compounds are taken into account. PL
