Wytwa¬ rzajacy sie perylen oddestylowuje sie przy przepuszczaniu, w danym razie, przegrza¬ nej pary i moze byc wykrystalizowany z toluolu, jednak i surowy produkt jest do¬ statecznie czysty dla otrzymywania po¬ chodnych.
