Pasywny mechanizm powrotny zawieradła (3) zastawki kanałowej (Z) wyposażonej w element wykonawczy (1) zasilany z zewnętrznego źródła energii, który to element wykonawczy (1) utrzymuje zawieradło (3) zastawki w określonej pozycji roboczej: otwartej/zamkniętej charakteryzujący się tym, że pasywny mechanizm powrotny obejmuje akumulator energii mechanicznej (2) skonfigurowany w ten sposób, że przy zaniku zasilania elementu wykonawczego (1) utrzymującego zawieradło (3) zastawki w określonej pozycji otwartej/zamkniętej, wtenczas akumulator energii mechanicznej (2) uruchamia element wykonawczy (1), który przesuwa z powrotem wspomniane zawieradło (3) zastawki do odpowiedniej pozycji przeciwnej w stosunku do pozycji roboczej, to jest zamkniętej z pozycji otwartej i otwartej z pozycji zamkniętej.
