Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest rekombinowane białko o właściwościach przeciwbakteryjnych, zawierające aktywną domenę katalityczną CHAP o sekwencji aminokwasowej, o co najmniej 80% identyczności z sekwencją przedstawioną w SEQ ID No.2 pochodzącą z Listeria monocytogenes, kompozycje je zawierające, zastosowanie rekombinowanego białka jako czynnika przeciwbakteryjnego oraz sposób hamowania lub ograniczania wzrostu bakterii Gram (+) i/lub Gram (-) o zróżnicowanej strukturze peptydoglikanu.
