Abstract
Zgłoszenie dotyczy sposobu wyliczania in silico tętniczej funkcji wejściowej (AIF), przy czym sposób obejmuje wybieranie klasy (CM, CMC) i rzędu (n) modelu farmakokinetyki. Rząd (n) modelu farmakokinetyki to liczba kompartmentów w wybranym modelu farmakokinetyki. Zgłoszenie zapewnia w szczególności wyliczenie tętniczej funkcji wejściowej (AIF) na wlocie do docelowego obszaru krążeniowego (VOI). Wyliczona tętnicza funkcja wejściowa (AIF) jest następnie wykorzystywana do wyliczenia perfuzji, a w szczególności metryk perfuzji. Wyliczone in silico tętnicze funkcje wejściowej (AIF) porównano z wynikami otrzymanymi in vivo. Zaobserwowano zgodność pomiędzy wynikami in silico i in vivo na poziomie umożliwiającym medyczne zastosowanie wynalazku. W szczególności, umożliwiającym określenie metryk perfuzji. The application relates to a method for calculating an in silico arterial input function (AIF), the method comprising selecting a class (CM, CMC) and an order (n) of a pharmacokinetic model. The class of the pharmacokinetic model is selected from a parallel distribution model (CM) from a central compartment to one or more peripheral compartments or a serial distribution model (CMC) from a central compartment serially through one or more intermediate compartments to one or more peripheral compartments. The order (n) of the pharmacokinetic model is the number of compartments in the selected pharmacokinetic model. In particular, the application provides for calculating an arterial input function (AIF) at the inlet to a target circulatory region (VOI). The calculated arterial input function (AIF) is then used to calculate perfusion, and in particular perfusion metrics. The in silico calculated arterial input functions (AIF) were compared with the results obtained in vivo. The agreement between the in silico and in vivo results was sufficient to support medical applications of the invention. In particular, it allowed for the determination of perfusion metrics.
