Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest sposób wytwarzania ditiodialkanoli z układem bifenylu, takich jak, bifenylo-4,4'-diyloditiodialkanole, przedstawione wzorem ogólnym 1, gdzie A oznacza: -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>3</sub>-(propano-1,3-diyl), albo -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>6</sub>-(heksano-1,6-diyl), albo -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>10</sub>-(dekano-1,10-diyl), albo -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>11</sub>-(undekano-1,11-diyl), albo -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>12</sub>-(dodekano-1,12-diyl), albo –CH<sub>2</sub>-C(CH<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>-CH<sub>2</sub>-(2,2-dimetylopropano-1,3-diyl), albo –(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>-O-(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>-(etano-1,2-diyloksyetano-1,2-diyl), znajdujących szerokie zastosowanie do produkcji polimerów o polepszonych właściwościach, wynikających z obecności w ich strukturze atomów siarki, w stosunku do ich analogów tlenowych, przydatnych w przemyśle medycznym, optycznym, samochodowym oraz w elektronice.The subject of the application is a method for preparing dithiodialkanols with a biphenyl system, such as biphenyl-4,4'-diyldithiodialkanols, represented by the general formula 1, where A means: -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>3</sub >-(propane-1,3-diyl), or -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>6</sub>-(hexane-1,6-diyl), or -(CH<sub >2</sub>)<sub>10</sub>-(decane-1,10-diyl), or -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>11</sub>-(undecano -1,11-diyl), or -(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>12</sub>-(dodecane-1,12-diyl), or –CH<sub>2</sub >-C(CH<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>-CH<sub>2</sub>-(2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diyl), or –( CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>-O-(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>-(ethane-1,2-diyloxyethane- 1,2-diyl), which are widely used for the production of polymers with improved properties resulting from the presence of sulfur atoms in their structure, compared to their oxygen analogues, useful in the medical, optical, automotive and electronics industries.
