Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest zoptymalizowana pożywka do hodowli neuronów, korzystnie pierwotnych neuronów korowych i wzgórzowych, która zawiera mleczan w stężeniu od około 125 uM do około 6 mM, a glukozę w stężeniu od około 3,0 do około 12,5 mM. Zgłoszenie obejmuje też zastosowanie pożywki do prowadzenia hodowli neuronów i sposób hodowli neuronów wykorzystujący zoptymalizowaną pożywkę do hodowli neuronów.The subject of the application is an optimized medium for growing neurons, preferably primary cortical and thalamic neurons, which contains lactate at a concentration of about 125 µM to about 6 mM and glucose at a concentration of about 3.0 to about 12.5 mM. The application also includes the use of a neuron culture medium and a method for growing neurons using an optimized neuron culture medium.
