Abstract
The subject of the application is a hydrophilic antiseptic filler with silver nanoparticles for hydrophobic polyolefin polymers, the method of its preparation and use in the production of composites with antimicrobial action in the form of films, containers or various types of packaging in the food and agricultural industries. The hydrophilic antiseptic filler with silver nanoparticles for hydrophobic polyolefin polymers is characterized by the fact that it is a solution of silver nanoparticles which is deposited in an amount of from 1 to 45% by weight. relative to the cellulose acetate carrier. The method of its preparation consists in the fact that the filler is obtained in four stages, and so: in the first stage, from 0.01 to 2 g of AgNO3 (silver nitrate V) dissolved in 100 cm3 of polyethylene oxide (PEG) at room temperature, and then vigorously mixed using a mechanical stirrer at 25 ° C for 2 hours to obtain silver nanoparticles in PEG, in the second stage, to the cellulose acetate powder, at room temperature, with continuous stirring, the solvent is gradually added until homogeneous system with a viscosity of 2 Pa * s, further in the third stage, the product from the second stage is gradually added, under vigorous stirring, the final product from the first stage in an amount of 1 to 45% by weight relative to cellulose acetate, followed by the mixture in this form poured onto a flat surface to obtain a thin layer, and then in the fourth stage, the final product from stage 3 is dried at 40 ° C for 24 hours, after what the resulting material is ground into. The use of a hydrophilic antiseptic filler with silver nanoparticles for hydrophobic polyolefin polymers in an amount of 0.1% to 15% by weight, for the production of antimicrobial composites based on isotactic polypropylene or polyethylene.
