Abstract

The subject of the application is a method of oxidizing limonene with a 60% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide or a 6M solution of t-butyl hydroperoxide in decane, in the presence of a catalyst and methanol as a solvent. This method is characterized by the fact that as a catalyst, mesoporous carbon materials impregnated with iron with an iron content of 0.1 to 10% by mass are used, while oxidation is carried out at temperatures of 100 - 140 ° C, during 6 to 24 hours, at methanol is used in the reaction mixture at a concentration of 63-69% by weight.
