Układ do analizy i separacji materiałów charakteryzuje się tym, że ma źródło promieniowania X (1) umieszczone w ten sposób, że promienie X (2) przenikają przez mierzony materiał (4) na całej szerokości taśmy (5), przy czym detektory promieniowania (3) składają się z wielokrotnych czujników promieniowania. Układ wyposażony jest w urządzenia przetwarzania danych z pasmowego detektora (9) i komputerowy systemu obliczeniowy (8), a także układ odrzucający (7) cząstki materiału znajdującego się poniżej progu kryterium separacji i urządzeń odbierających (10, 11) odseparowane frakcje materiału.
