Sposób wytwarzania 7,4'-dihydroksy-5-metoksy-8-prenyloflawonu, o wzorze 2, charakteryzuje się tym, że do mieszaniny reakcyjnej składającej się z pirydyny i jodu dodaje się izoksantohumol i ogrzewa się z jednoczesnym mieszaniem do całkowitego przereagowania izoksantohumolu, po czym mieszaninę poreakcyjną rozcieńcza się wodą, usuwa pozostałości jodu, zobojętnia i ekstrahuje rozpuszczalnikiem organicznym, nie mieszającym się z wodą, oddziela frakcję organiczną, osusza i odparowuje rozpuszczalnik i tak otrzymany surowy produkt oczyszcza się znaną metodą.The method of producing 7,4'-dihydroxy-5-methoxy-8-prenyloflavone, of formula II, is characterized in that isoxanthohumol is added to the reaction mixture consisting of pyridine and iodine and heated with simultaneous stirring until the isoxanthohumol has completely reacted the reaction mixture is diluted with water, the iodine residue is removed, neutralized and extracted with a water-immiscible organic solvent, the organic fraction is separated, dried and the solvent is evaporated and the crude product thus obtained is purified by a known method.
