Abstract

Sposób kalibracji detektorów TOF-PET zawierających polimerowe scyntylatory paskowe oraz konwertery fotoelektryczne. Jako źródło promieniowania wykorzystuje się promieniowanie kosmiczne, przy czym rejestruje się czasy reakcji cząstek promieniowania kosmicznego z paskami scyntylacyjnymi (411, 421) i wyznacza się widma rozkładów różnicy czasów rejestracji impulsów na końcach scyntylatora (411, 421) połączonych z konwerterami fotoelektrycznymi (412, 413, 422, 423), na podstawie których wyznacza się stałe synchronizacji czasowej konwerterów fotoelektrycznych (412, 413, 422, 423) obejmujące opóźnienia elektroniki, prędkość propagacji światła w pasku scyntylacyjnym modułu detekcyjnego oraz rozdzielczość różnicy czasów sygnałów rejestrowanych na obu końcach modułu.Method of calibrating TOF-PET detectors containing polymer strip scintillators and photoelectric converters. Cosmic radiation is used as a radiation source, wherein the reaction times of cosmic ray particles with scintillation strips (411, 421) are recorded and spectra of the distributions of the difference in the registration times of pulses at the ends of the scintillator (411, 421) connected to photoelectric converters (412, 413, 422, 423) are determined, on the basis of which the time synchronization constants of the photoelectric converters (412, 413, 422, 423) are determined, including electronics delays, the speed of light propagation in the scintillation strip of the detection module and the resolution of the time difference of signals recorded at both ends of the module.
