Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób sporza¬ dzania preparatów do badan mikroskopowych z materialów latwopalnych, przede wszystkim z siarki.
Dotychczas otrzymuje sie preparaty do badan mikroskopowych z surowców latwopalnych w ten sposób, ze plytki z tych materialów nakleja sie na szkielko podstawowe, uzywajac do skle¬ jenia kololitu. Sposób ten jest trudny i kosz¬ towny ze wzgledu na potrzebe sprowadzania ko¬ lolitu z zagranicy, stosowany zas przy materia¬ lach trudnopalnych balsam kanadyjski nabiera wlasciwosci wiazacych dopiero po podgrzaniu do temperatury 80 °C, w której materialy latwo- palne, np. siarka, ulegaja równiez stopieniu.

Po ostygnieciu balsamu do temperatury 60—65 °C przykleja sie uprzednio przygotowana plytke do szkielka i szlifuje calosc najpierw na tarczy sciernej z dodatkiem proszku sciernego do gru¬ bosci 1 mm, nastepnie na szkle matowym — z dodatkiem proszku sciernego o mniejszej granu¬ lacji i oliwy transformatorowej — do grubosci 0,02 mm. Po otrzymaniu zadanej grubosci calosc nakrywa sie szkielkiem nakrywkowym, któreprzykleja sie do preparatu balsamem w tem¬ peraturze 60—05°C.
