Abstract
Sposób wytwarzania soli sodowej kwasu 2-metylofenoksyoctowego, metodą periodyczną, przez podstawienie wodoru w grupie wodorotlenowej o-krezolu sodem w reakcji o-krezolu z wodorotlenkiem sodowym, a następnie jednoczesną reakcję o-krezolanu sodowego z kwasem chloro-octowym i wodorotlenkiem sodowym do soli sodowej kwasu 2-metylofenoksy octowego, w temperaturze reakcji mieszczącej się w zakresie od 85 do 115°C i pH reakcji mieszczącego się w zakresie 10-12.5, przy stosunku molowym wodorotlenku sodowego do o-krezolu mieszczącym się w zakresie 1.9-2.1 i stosunku molowym wodorotlenku sodowego do kwasu chlorooctowego mieszczącym się w zakresie 2.0-2.2, przy czym wodorotlenek sodowy wprowadzany jest formie roztworu wodnego, w którym jego stężenie mieści się w zakresie 25-48% wagowych, a czas reakcji soli sodowej o-krezolu z kwasem chlorooctowym zamyka się w przedziale 2-4 godzin, polega na tym, że reakcję podstawienia wodoru w grupie wodorotlenowej o-krezolu sodem prowadzi się mieszaniną wodorotlenku sodowego zawartego w strumieniu o-krezolanu sodowego z odzysku nieprzereagowanego o-krezolu z masy po reakcji i świeżego roztworu wodnego wodorotlenku sodowego, przy podziale całości wodorotlenku sodowego wprowadzonego do reakcji pomiędzy strumień o-krezolanu sodowego i strumień świeżego wodnego roztworu wodorotlenku sodowego w przedziale 40-60% i przy stosunku molowym wodorotlenku sodowego do o-krezolu w przedziale 0.8-1.0, przy czym stosuje się stałe natężenie przepływu kwasu chlorooctowego i zmienne natężenie przepływu wodnego roztworu wodorotlenku sodowego tak, aby utrzymywać pH reagującej masy w zakresie 10-12,5, po czym prowadzi się jednoczesną reakcję o-krezolanu sodowego z kwasem chlorooctowym i wodorotlenkiem sodowym do soli sodowej kwasu 2-metylofenoksyoctowego.Method for the production of the sodium salt of 2-methylphenoxyacetic acid, by a batch method, by replacing the hydrogen in the hydroxide group of o-cresol with sodium in the reaction of o-cresol with sodium hydroxide, and then the simultaneous reaction of sodium o-cresolate with chloroacetic acid and sodium hydroxide to form the sodium salt 2-methylphenoxy acetic acid, at a reaction temperature in the range of 85 to 115°C and a reaction pH in the range of 10-12.5, with a molar ratio of sodium hydroxide to o-cresol in the range of 1.9-2.1 and a molar ratio of sodium hydroxide sodium to chloroacetic acid in the range of 2.0-2.2, with sodium hydroxide introduced in the form of an aqueous solution, in which its concentration is in the range of 25-48% by weight, and the reaction time of o-cresol sodium salt with chloroacetic acid is in the range of 2-4 hours, consists in replacing the hydrogen in the hydroxyl group of o-cresol with sodium with a mixture of hydrogen sodium oxide contained in the sodium o-cresolate stream from the recovery of unreacted o-cresol from the mass after the reaction and fresh sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, dividing the total sodium hydroxide introduced into the reaction between the sodium o-cresolate stream and the fresh aqueous sodium hydroxide stream in the range of 40 -60% and with a molar ratio of sodium hydroxide to o-cresol in the range of 0.8-1.0, using a constant flow rate of chloroacetic acid and a variable flow rate of aqueous sodium hydroxide solution so as to maintain the pH of the reacting mass in the range of 10-12.5 followed by a simultaneous reaction of sodium o-cresolate with chloroacetic acid and sodium hydroxide to form the sodium salt of 2-methylphenoxyacetic acid.
