Abstract

The electrolyte cell assembly, for the production and study of nano structures in films/membranes, has at least two chambers with an identical cross section in cube, pillar or prismatic shapes. The chambers are of a thermoplastic polymer with mechanical strength and electrical/chemical resistance. The chambers are butted together, on a common longitudinal axis, with a membrane compressed between their butting surfaces in an electrically neutral condition into a plastic distortion to give electrical resistance and hermetic sealing. The chamber rows are held together by clamps with shroudings against electromagnetic fields. A heating coil gives heating/cooling under thermostat control.
