Abstract
Electromagnetic variator is applicable in drives which particulary need smooth change of velocity-torque gear ratio. Electromagnetic variator according to the invention has two rotors mechanicaly connected with driving and driven shaft of drive, coaxially and independently connected by means of rotor placed in a stator. Stator and inner rotor are made as cylindrical packs of ferromagnetic sheets (2,6), where permanent magnets (3,7) are placed. On the other hand, outer rotor placed between inner rotor and stator is made as two mechanically connected cylindrical packs of ferromagnetic sheets /9, 10/ inside the grooves of which there are independent direct current windings (11,12). Each n-th electric lead (13,18) from these windings joins, via controlled units of energoelectronic current junctions (14a,14b) and (19a,19b) placed in semiconductor layer (15) with current collectors (16,17) which in turn join with battery (32) poles. Powered from battery (32), a microprocessor control unit (34) with control input from outside, via rotating control junction (35) affects energoelectronic elements and units (14a,14b,15a,15b,29,30, 31) of semiconductor layer (15) as a control unit. Electromagnetic variator according to the invention has construction which allows for integration of current units with cooling cycle. Thanks to windings (13,14) done as pipes with internaly hollowed current collectors (18,19) being at the same time cooling collectors with low working temperature of variator can be achieved.
