Description
Znane sa substancje luminujace, które akumu- luja swiatlo i oddaja je swiecac w ciemnosci bez wydzielania ciepla. Podstawa ich sa sole wapnio- wców i metali ciezkich, glównie siarczki. Mieszaniny tych soli, dobrane w odpowiednim stosunku iloscio¬ wym i przetopione w tyglach w wysokiej tempera¬ turze, tworza podstawe do wyrobu mas swieca¬ cych, wydzielajacych swiatlo o odcieniu zóltawo-bia- lym. Dodawanie do mieszaniny wiekszych ilosci soli metali ciezkich powoduje nasilenie swiecenia i zmiane koloru masy luminujacej, np. do koloru ciemno-niebieskiego, zielonego, zóltego w róznych odcieniach, dzieki czemu mozna otrzymywac ladne efekty swietlne. PLThere are luminous substances which accumulate light and emit it by shining it in the dark without giving off heat. They are based on the salts of calcium and heavy metals, mainly sulfides. Mixtures of these salts, selected in an appropriate quantity and melted in crucibles at high temperature, form the basis for the production of candle masses that emit light with a yellowish-white shade. Adding larger amounts of heavy metal salts to the mixture increases the brightness and changes the color of the luminous mass, e.g. to dark blue, green, yellow in various shades, thanks to which it is possible to obtain nice lighting effects. in addition to. paints and varnishes to show signposts, clock and watch faces at night, compass hands, electric contacts. According to the invention, such effects are obtained permanently on fibrous materials of all kinds by depositing said luminous masses with pigment fixers, e.g. with egg white, blood albumin, gelatin or skin glue. or bone aloo solution of cellulose acetate. In order to give the fibrous materials a shade or color of luminous light, organic dyes of the appropriate color are added to the pigment fixatives. For example, by adding a solution of a blue dye to a fixative of a luminous substance on a fabric, which luminates essentially white or yellowish light, the color of the luminous light changes to a green or blue color. by printing or spraying on fabric or yarns by means of gelatin or glue, the latter are made insoluble by dragging the printed fabric through vapors of formaldehyde or through a solution thereof.
