Abstract
The proposed apparatus for regulating supply of power to heating coils (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) of an electric instantaneous water heater comprises a flow transmitter (21), a measuring module (22) and adjusting element (23) of required value. Using switching contacts (11a, 11b, 11c) and disconnecting contacts (12a, 12b, 12c), the apparatus regulates power supply in dependence on water flow. The power supply line to heating coils (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) there are arranged points (31, 32, 33) for sensing electric potential on these heating coils (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) and the disconnecting contacts (12a, 12b, 12c) are connected together with the electric potential sensing points (31, 32, 33) with a safety switching circuit (26), which is in turn connected with the flow transmitter (21). Electric potential present on the heating coils (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) is continuously scanned and safety disconnection of the heating power supply to said heating coils (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) takes place when presence of electric potential is detected on the heating coils (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) while the monitored liquid flow dropped below a preset limit value or liquid is in rest.
