Abstract

2.1 In known burners with so-called hot flame tubes or corresponding ceramic combustion chambers, operating temperatures of up to 1080 DEG C are reached, the burning out of the particles and also the CO being reduced but not the NOx values. A NOx reduction is only possible with considerable construction outlay. 2.2 It is proposed, to provide a water-cooled flame tube (2) of a burner (1), its water cooling (4) being connected to the water-cooled burner housing. In the connection of a burner (1) to a heat exchanger or heating boiler (3), its water system can be utilised for the water cooling (4) of the flame tube (2). <IMAGE>
