Description
Znane sa rózne sposoby fabrykacji wegla aktywowanego, czyli wegla chlonacego gwaltownie gazy i pary trujace. Nastepnie metody te zmo¬ dyfikowano, przepajajac drzewo, lupiny z orzechów i podobne materjaly chlorkiem cynku, potaszem i podofonemi zwiazkami, zweglajac je nastepnie w! piecach i wypló- kujac pózniej mineralne substancje woda i kwasem. Zawdzieczajac obecnosci krzemionki w slomie i wspomnianych innych materjalach, otrzymuje sie krzemiany cyn¬ ku, wskutek czego wegiel otrzymywany tadroga jest dosc twardy, aby odpowiadac swemu przeznaczeniu. Mianowicie pod cisnieniem 1 atmosfery 1 ki¬ logram wegla chlonie 800 g chloru, oziebio¬ na zas cieklem powietrzem ta sama ilosc Weglai chlonie 500 litrów powietrza: PLThere are various methods of fabricating activated carbon, i.e. coal that rapidly absorbs poisonous gases and vapors. For this purpose, the coal was exposed to high temperature in the presence of various gases or water vapor. These methods were then modified by infusing the tree, nut lupines, and similar materials with zinc chloride, potassium, and podophonemes, and then carbonizing them into in furnaces and washing out mineral substances with water and acid. However, in order to obtain the carbon in suitable small grains or cubes, these materials had to be subjected to a costly mechanical treatment. If straw or other materials containing silica are used instead of trees and walnut lupine, the costly mechanical treatment is replaced with cheap chaff preparation. By infusing the chaff with zinc chloride in an amount of 25% to 30% of zinc chloride and then calcining at a temperature not exceeding 800 ° C, high-activity carbon is obtained in the form of sintered, quite hard, shiny pieces. Due to the presence of silica in the straw and the above-mentioned other materials, zinc silicates are obtained, as a result of which the carbon obtained from the tadroga is quite hard to suit its purpose. The activity of the thus obtained carbon is very high and exceeds that of the vast majority of activated carbons. obtained from wood, cracked nuts and similar inaterials, namely under the pressure of 1 atmosphere, 1 kilogram of carbon will chlorine 800 g of chlorine, and quenched with liquid air, the same amount of carbon and 500 liters of air will chlorine: PL
