Otrzymuje sie przy tym pro¬ dukty o znacznie wyzszym punkcie miek¬ niecia i bardziej zblizone swymi wlasciwo¬ sciami fizycznymi do wlasciwosci wosków naturalnych. Produkt chlorowania w pod¬ wyzszonej temperaturze posiada znacznie mniej lotnych a szkodliwych dla zdrowia substancji pochodnych malo chlorowanego naftalenu niz produkt chlorowany w tem¬ peraturze niskiej. PLThe longest term of the patent until March 10, 1951 Patent No. 22,932 describes a method of chlorinating naphthalene in the presence of catalysts in order to obtain highly chlorinated products having physical properties similar to those of natural waxes. It has now been found that chlorination this, in the presence of the catalysts indicated, is much faster and with a better chlorine recovery if the chlorination is carried out at an elevated temperature. At the same time, products with a much higher soft point are obtained and their physical properties are more similar to those of natural waxes. The product of chlorination at elevated temperature has much less volatile and harmful substances derived from malchlorinated naphthalene than the product chlorinated at low temperature. PL
