Description
Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
Przedmiotem wynalazku jest cienkościenna powłoka porowata, stanowiąca powłokę porowatą zamkniętą z tworzywa termoplastycznego, zwłaszcza polichlorku winylu, naniesiona na drut stalowy, mający zwłaszcza przekrój poprzeczny kołowy. The subject of the invention is a thin-walled porous coating consisting of a closed porous coating made of a thermoplastic material, in particular polyvinyl chloride, applied to a steel wire, especially having a circular cross-section.
The production of porous products, which takes place in the extrusion and injection processes, differs from the production of solid products in that, as a result of the processing process, they are given a two-phase structure of material-gas with as small and relatively evenly distributed gas bubbles in the product as possible. A porous structure is obtained by introducing a blowing agent into the polymer material in the form of an inert gas, a low-boiling liquid or a solid. The properties of the porous body depend mainly on the type of material, the blowing agent content, and the size, number, geometric characteristics and distribution of the pores formed during the extrusion and injection molding process.
It is known from Polish patent description No. 179 494 a structural pipe made of porous polyethylene, a material belonging to another group of materials. As described, a porous pipe is produced by extrusion of polyethylene, a sliding agent, a nucleidizing agent, and a blowing agent, mixed together in specific mass proportions. The obtained pipe has a porous structure, but the geometrical characteristics, the distribution and the size of the pores in the product are not defined in this solution.
The Polish patent description No. 188 744 presents a method of producing gradient sections from porous polyolefins. The sections according to the description are obtained by extrusion, using an extruder with a double-stream extrusion head and the use of a mixture of plastic and blowing agent with an endothermic decomposition process. Also in this description, however, the geometric characteristics of the pores and their distribution in the porous section were not specified.
The Polish patent no. 177,398 describes the cable sheath applied as standard in the coating extrusion process. However, it is a solid, non-porous coating. The porous coating of an electric cable, known from the patent application P-376 808, is a coating of an electric cable, but it is produced by a co-extrusion process. At the same time, it is a three-zone coating containing tightly located and differently structured coating zones.
The essence of a thin-walled porous coating, constituting a closed porous coating of thermoplastic material, especially polyvinyl chloride, applied to a steel wire, especially having a circular cross-section, is that in the flat cross-section of the thin-walled coating, its pore surface area is in the range from 0.005 to 0.035 mm 2 , preferably 0.025 mm 2 , the perimeter of the pore is in the range of 0.4 to 0.7 mm, preferably 0.6 mm, and the linear dimension of the pore is not longer than 0.3 mm, the pore size ratio being in the range of from 1.0 to 2.5, preferably 2.3, of the largest linear dimension to the smallest linear dimension.
The advantage of a thin-walled porous coating, constituting a closed porous coating of thermoplastic material, especially polyvinyl chloride, applied to a steel wire, especially having a circular cross-section, is its specific porous structure, which results in a lower weight, even up to 40% of the obtained coating, and related to it new application areas. The thin-walled porous coating has new, modified physical and operational properties compared to solid coatings, including improved damping and insulating properties.
P r z y k ł a d. Cienkościenna powłoka porowata o grubości 0,6 mm została naniesiona na drut stalowy o średnicy 2 mm w procesie wytłaczania powlekającego.
