Abstract

The helmet has an inner helmet shell (2), and an outer helmet shell (1) with air guiding edges (3a, 3b), which extend based on a front side via an eye region of a carrier directly at or in small distance over an upper edge (5) of a view opening at an upper surface of the outer shell in a flow direction. The air guiding edges end at a rear lower region of the helmet, at a neck closure (6) or at small distance that is equal to distance of a front helmet region. The air guiding edges are designed as groove or dome-shape with a specific depth and/or height and with a specific width. An independent claim is also included for a single or multi-part outer shell for a sports helmet, comprising air guiding edges.
