Abstract
The device has a drilling body connected by a flexible tubing (7) to a high pressure water pump (11) that is placed on a low height carrier vehicle (1). A selenoid valve (13) is interposed, on the vehicle, between the pump and a starting point of the tubing. The valve receives successive electric pulses (I) which create shock waves on a water line in the tubing that transmits the waves till to a strike piston of the body. The tubing is driven in rotation by a roller (10) to transmit an alternative rotational movement to the drilling body around a main axis (A). The body comprises of several grooves, and is supported and guided by a support and guiding unit (18) while starting to drill a hole. An independent claim is also included for a rotary percussive drilling process for the usage in low height driftway.
