Description

The subject of the invention is a burner designed to ignite, in particular, discharge gases from production installations in the chemical, metallurgical industries, etc. The discharge gases, which are periodically emitted into the atmosphere in emergency situations, must be burned in order to eliminate the environmental risk associated with the emission of harmful substances. For this purpose, natural gas pilots are often used, which are constantly burning and are ready in an emergency to burn off the discharge gases coming from the chimneys. Incendiary burners of various designs are also used.

A gas burner, in particular for ignition, is known from the Polish patent description No. 158 854. This burner has an air chamber communicating with a tubular air conduit, inside which an element which is also an electric conduit is coaxially mounted. This element is supported at intervals by an insulated air conduit. The insulators are in the form of ceramic rollers arranged radially or axially along the circumference. The air conduit ends with a conical-annular combustion chamber, in which there is a fuel outlet with a tip ending the element that is also an electric conduit.

From the Polish description of the utility model, which has been granted the protection right Ru 47821, the injector burner - igniter is known, which consists of a mixing chamber, a fuel gas supply nozzle and a line supplying air to the mixing chamber, and a spark chamber equipped with spark plugs and mounted vertically on the chamber mixing and connected to the burner pipe.

The object of the present invention is to provide a burner that is reliable in operation for igniting, in particular for discharge gases, which would guarantee that it will be operated every time even under difficult environmental conditions. The burner according to the invention comprises a main gas line with a gas regulating valve terminating at the top with a starter burner. In the lower part of the main gas pipe there are two gas pipes supplying the lower and upper auxiliary burners. There are gas nozzles at the outlets of the auxiliary burners. In the upper part of the main gas conduit, below the starter burner, there is a burner screen mounted, to which the sparking devices are attached through insulators, which supply a spark to the starter burner.

The burner components are placed in a housing with a protective hood at the top. The burner according to the invention is a device with a high degree of reliability and allows the ignition of discharge gases even in extremely unfavorable weather conditions. The subject of the invention is illustrated in an embodiment in the drawing which shows a gas burner for ignition, where Fig. 1 shows it in section A-A, and Fig. 2 in section B-B.

The gas burner comprises a main gas conduit 9 with a regulating valve 5 ending at the top with a starting burner 3. In the lower part of the main gas conduit 9 there are two gas conduits supplying the lower 7 and upper auxiliary burners 2. There are gas nozzles on the outlets of the auxiliary burners 7 and 2. 6. In the upper part of the main gas conduit 9, below the starter burner 3, a burner screen is mounted 13. To the screen 13, magnetos are attached via insulators 4. The burner is placed in a casing with a protective hood at the top 1. The burner is attached to a flange connection 10 with thermally resistant gasket 11.

The gas fed to the main gas line 9 (if it is necessary to afterburning of the discharge gases) is divided into two auxiliary burners, the lower 7 and the upper one, for the start burner 3. At the same time, a spark is supplied to the ignition burner 3 by means of spark plugs 4. The spark ignites the gas mixture with by air. From the starting burner 3, the upper auxiliary burner 2 is ignited, and from it the lower auxiliary burner 7. The adjustable flame escapes through the lower auxiliary burner 7 from under the protective hood 1 of the burner.

As a result, the waste gas in the discharge chimney is ignited. A gas regulating valve 5 serves to regulate the gas flow to the starter burner 3, depending on the pressure in the natural gas network.
