Abstract

The cylinder lock (2) has a rotatable cylindrical core (7) inside an outer casing (4). The lock accepts a flat key with a security pattern in one profiled broad side. The key slides into an aperture (11) in the end of the rotatable cylindrical core. Pins of different length in the rotatable cylinder have sharp ends (17) engaging the key. There are sloping sliding or engagement surfaces (18) on either side of the sharp ends.
