Description

Prac. Poligraf. UP PRL naklad 120+18 Cena 45 zl PLThe subject of the invention is a method of energy evaluation and location of noise sources along with the determination of acoustic properties of rooms, to be used especially in production halls as well as outside halls, with a large number of working machines. So far known methods of locating sound sources and their energy evaluation, presented in WNPeterson, Ouinting Portable Air Compresors, Noise Contro I Engineering, July-August, 1975, pp. 41-47, are based on the use of correlation or coherence methods. In the known methods for testing the acoustic properties of rooms, J. Sadowski "Akustyka Architektoniczna", PWN Warsaw 1976, the so-called active test is used, which, in addition to the receiving apparatus, requires a special broadcasting equipment of such power that the difference between the noise level in the room and the level of the test sound is not less than 30 dB. In the case of production rooms, this condition requires the machines to be shut down from operation or the use of very strong sources of test sound. The essence of the method is to measure the quotient of the mean squares of direct and total sound pressures, the value of which for different directions varies from 0 to 1, the value of this quotient in one of the directions of the sources is proportional to the relative power of this source in relation to the power of all some radiating sources in a given room, the noise of which reaches the measuring point The method according to the invention makes it possible to locate the noise sources and their energy share in relation to the total noise level at the measuring point and to evaluate the acoustic properties of the rooms. At the same time, by using in the measurement of the quotient of the intensity of direct and indirect sound only the noise of the tested device and its surroundings, it allows to eliminate artificial sound in the room. In the method according to the invention, a directional noise signal from a specific source and an omnidirectional noise signal are received. These signals are proportional to the sound pressure incoming in a given direction and the total noise pressure at a given point (room). By measuring || and the mean squares of these pressures for different directions, a value varying2 110,920 is obtained, ranging from 0 <| 3 <1 with maximum values in the directions corresponding to the location of the forest noise source. In this way, the location of the sources is made. The value of the quotient in one of the directions of the source is proportional to the relative power of this source in relation to the power of all radiating sources in the tested room or open area, whose noise reaches the measuring point. Knowing this value, it is possible to determine the energy contribution of a given source in relation to the total level of noise at a given point. Patent claim A method of energy assessment and location of noise sources together with the range of acoustic properties of rooms, characterized by the fact that signals received at any measuring point are noise coming from a specific source and the total noise signals coming from all directions are measured in the form of a quotient of the mean squares of sound pressure, directional and omni-directional pressure, with the value of this quotient on one of the source directions determining the relative power of this source in relation to to the power of all radiating sources whose noise reaches the measuring point.
