Abstract
The utility model discloses a bamboo mud crab cage (0.5 x 0.7 x 2m) with plastic wire mesh net (12mm) use for side walling, bottom flooring and top movable cover. A cage body consists of 2x2 hardwood used as frame of the cages. Sliced bamboo is nailed around the frame. The inner and the outer part of the cage are enclosed with a nailed sliced bamboo reinforced with a plastic wire mesh nets to ensure durability. The cage is divided into 16 compartments. Sliced bamboo is not closely nailed to allow entry of water into the cage. The upper part of cage body is provided with a twin cover for ease of opening of both sides. The entire specification of the cage prevents the crab from escaping during the culture and fattening period. This guarantees durability which could be used for culture and fattening based on a number of farming trials. The utility model is classified as marine and brackish water fishing gear.
