Abstract
In a process for producing nickel powder from a solution containing a nickel sulfate ammine complex, the provided method suppresses scale in a reaction tank and reduces the time and cost spent in the removal thereof. This nickel powder production method is characterized in that, in a solution containing a nickel sulfate ammine complex, a seed crystal is added in the amount of 0.3-3 times the weight of nickel in the solution to form a mixed slurry, a hydrogen gas is blown into the mixed slurry, and nickel complex ions are reduced to form a nickel precipitate.
