Abstract

This container inspection device (10) comprises: an illuminator (11) that illuminates a container that is the inspection object, for example a bottle (1), such that illumination light is made incident from the bottom part (2) side of the bottle (1) and guided into the body part (4) and incidence of the illumination light from the outer surface of the body part (4) is restricted; and an imaging unit (12) that takes an observation image of the inner wall of the body part (4) from the mouth part (3) of the bottle (1).
