Abstract

Provided is a seat support frame structure for a motorcycle that can prevent the appearance from being impaired, by use of a support frame side cover that covers the minimum necessary part of a seat support frame at a low cost and further enhance a naked feel by increasing the opening area of an opening part for exposing an open space under a seat. A seat support frame structure for a motorcycle includes a seat 1 that is retained by a hinge provided to a side of a vehicle body of the motorcycle and is openable toward a side; a seat support frame 2 that includes pipe frames 3 and also includes an elastic member 6 provided to the pipe frames 3, the elastic member 6 being capable of being in contact with a frame or a cover on the vehicle body side when the seat 1 is in the closed state; a support frame side cover that covers an outer surface of the seat support frame 2; and an under-seat open space S that is provided under the seat 1 and is visible through an opening part K defined on a side of the vehicle body. The support frame side cover covers at least the outer surface of only a portion provided with the elastic member 6, and outer surfaces of the pipe frames 3 are exposed to the outside.
