Abstract

The present invention relates to an innovative armchair having its armrest that can be swingably transferred from right to left or vice versa. This armchair can be comfortably used by either right-handed and left-handed students. Existing armchair that can cater both left and right-handed individuals used hinges that are easily dislodged. The armchair of the present invention features the armrest that can interchangeably positioned in either right or left armrest support by swinging over the periphery of the head of the backrest.

The present invention relates in general to an armchair that features more - particularly to an armrest that can interchangeably positioned in either right or left armrest support by swinging over the periphery of the head of the backrest. + bot
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
An innovative universal arm chair purposes is developed geared towards = an altemative production of equipment that that can be comfortable for both right- = handed and left-handed students, since most of the chair used in many schools are 5 exclusive only for right-handed ones. The present prior art anm chair with reference to the left and right armrest swingably and pivotably connected with hinges is highly vulnerable to displacement/dislodgement during continued and deliberate use. It also limits free movement of user because of the unused armrest located on the side of the arm chair.
Further, this prior art arm chair makes use of wooden materials suggesting less durability as it is being utilized by different users.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
To solve the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art armchair, the main object of the present invention is to provide an arm rest interchangeably positioned in either first and second armrest support by swinging the armrest over the periphery of the head of the backrest with the transferring means comprising of a bolt fixedly secured at the rear wall of the backrest and the pipe securely in one end portion to the arm and the opposite end portion pivotally secured to the rod. This prevents displacement /dislodgement of the armrest during continued and deliberate use.
These and other objects and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent upon reading of the ensuing detailed description taken in conjunction with the appended drawings.

Referring to FIG. 1, the armchair with swingable armrest, according to an exemplary embodiment, includes the arm chair 10, a body of the armchair 11, the swingable armrest 12, the armrest support 13, a seatrest 14, a backrest 15, a lower base 16, plurality of legs 17, plurality of braces 18, and a rubber support 19 that inserted to ’ the base of each legs of the chair,
Referring to FIG. 1, the said armchair comprising two vertical rear legs 17a and two vertical front legs 17b, a lower base 16 fixedly connected to point “A” of vertical rear legs 17a and point “B” of vertical front legs 17b, said lower base 16 has plurality of fixedly disposed braces 18. A seatrest 14 fixedly provided and connected to point “D” of vertical rear legs 17a and point “E” of vertical front legs 17b, a backrest 15 is fixedly provided and connected to point “F” of vertical rear legs 17a, a pair of armrest support 13 fixedly connected to point “F” of vertical rear legs 17a and point “H” of the vertical brace 13a of the armrest support 13. The vertical brace 13a is fixedly connected to the seatrest 14 at point “I”.
Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the armrest 12 is fixedly framed with a flat bar 12a.
The flat bar frame 12a is fixedly connected to a pipe 12b bended 90 degrees, the other end of the bended pipe 12b is fixedly connected to the rear wall of the backrest 15 by inserting to the welded threaded metal 12d locked with bolt 12e and nuts 12c.
Co Depending on the user’s preference, the armrest 12 can be interchangeably positioned in either right or left armrest support 13 by swinging over the periphery of the head of the backrest 15.
The armchair is preferably made of wood, plastic or steel.
