Abstract

The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for manufacturing artificial wood, the method comprising: (a) a step of preparing coconut powder and synthetic resin powder, (b) a mixing step of mixing the coconut powder and the synthetic resin powder, and mixing one or more additives selected from a group consisting of a pigment and a foaming agent provided based on the strength of the product to be manufactured and use and characteristic of the specific gravity of a foam; (c) a material transport step of transporting the mixed powder to a melt extrusion device; (d) a melting and molding step of heating and melting the transported powder, forming a molded article having a desired shape from the molten liquid using the mold of an extrusion molding device, and inserting a reinforcement material into the rear end of the mold to mold artificial wood; (e) a sizing step of inhibiting the contraction of the molded artificial wood by means of a vacuum sizing device; and (f) a cooling/extracting and cutting step of cooling and extracting the contraction-inhibited artificial wood molded article, and automatically cutting the molded article to a desired size.
