Abstract

Un metodo de sobremoldeado de materiales incluye: proporcionar un primer material en una ranura en una primera parte de un molde, de modo que solo este expuesta una superficie individual del primer material a una parte vacia del molde; proporcionar, por medio de un proceso de moldeo por inyeccion, un segundo material en forma liquida en la parte vacia del molde adyacente al primer material y ajustado con este; y permitir que el segundo material solidifique y se acople directamente al primer material, lo que forma por tanto un componente individual. Durante el metodo, la totalidad de la superficie individual del primer material esta enrasada con un plano definido por la superficie exterior de la primera parte del molde. El segundo material tiene una o ambas de una mayor dureza cuando solidifica que el primer material y/o una mayor temperatura de fusion que el primer material.
