Abstract
Se divulga un hidrociclon (10) en el que la seccion de entrada (14) de la camara (13) tiene una superficie de la pared lateral interior curvada (29) que generalmente tiene la forma de una voluta (28), para dirigir el material recibido en uso desde el puerto de entrada de alimentacion (17) en un movimiento de rotacion. En la modalidad mostrada, la voluta (28) se eleva axialmente hacia abajo dentro de la seccion de entrada (14), en una direccion hacia la seccion de separacion conica (15), y gira a traves de un angulo de mas de 270 grados de angulo. La seccion conica tiene un eje central X-X, y comprende dos segmentos 32, 34, cada uno de los cuales tiene una forma troncoconica, y se unen de extremo a extremo para formar una camara de separacion generalmente conica (15). Un angulo interior A ubicado entre la superficie de la pared interior (50) de la camara de separacion conica (15) asi formada y una linea paralela al eje central X-X es idealmente menor que (8) grados de angulo, para proporcionar un diseno de hidrociclon con parametros operativos beneficiosos.
