Abstract

En el presente documento se describe un metodo de ajuste de la composicion de un producto de cromatografia para lograr una proporcion enriquecida objetivo de un componente deseado de una alimentacion de entrada que tiene una proporcion mas baja del componente deseado usando cromatografia de lecho en movimiento simulado ('SMB') en la que el eluyente para el aparato SMB puede comprender esa misma alimentacion de entrada que se enriquece. El metodo se ejemplifica enriqueciendo un jarabe de maiz de alta fructosa desde un jarabe al 42 % de fructosa a un jarabe al 55 % de fructosa sin reducir sustancialmente la concentracion de solidos disueltos del jarabe al 55 % con respecto al jarabe al 42 % de entrada. El jarabe al 42 % tambien se usa como eluyente para el aparato SMB y puede reconstituirse a partir de la corriente de refinado pasando la corriente de refinado sobre una columna de glucosa isomerasa sola o en combinacion con una alimentacion de dextrosa. El metodo reduce el uso de agua y ahorra energia, minimizando la necesidad de evaporacion para obtener un jarabe al 55% de fructosa con un alto contenido de solidos disueltos
