Abstract

The principle is based on the fact that inside the (DEI) an oxidation semi-cell reaction is produced that is complemented by the reduction semi-cell that occurs in the electro-metal obtaining cell that uses it. The (DEI) does not generate gases and consequently does not emit acid mist into the environment. The (DEI) replaces the current anodes and allows to produce oxidation reactions below the energetic threshold of the electrolytic decomposition of water, thus avoiding the electro-generation of gaseous oxygen that is the main cause of the acid mist. The DEI insertable electrode device comprises a perimeter frame, ion exchange membranes, a strategic electrode that is a CSE strategic conductor or semiconductor, inlet duct and outlet duct, a horizontal busbar, vertical electric busbars, grips or clamps, a strategic electrolyte, a bus bar, an evacuator bar, circulation inlet holes and circulation outlet holes
