EL CRECIMIENTO DE LOS MICROORGANISMOS SE INHIBE POR LOS SIGUIENTES METODOS: i) MEDIANTE EL CALENTAMIENTO DE LOS MINERALES A 100 ºC O MAS ANTES DE LA LIXIVIACION; ii) TRATANDO LOS MINERALES CON UN AGENTE CAPAZ DE INHIBIR EL CRECIMIENTO DE LOS MICROORGANISMOS ANTES DE LA LIXIVIACION; Y iii) AGREGANDO UN AGENTE CAPAZ DE INHIBIR EL CRECIMIENTO DE MICROORGANISMOS A UNA SOLUCION DE LIXIVIACIONWHERE THE GROWTH OF MICROORGANISMS PRESENT ON THE SURFACES OF THE MINERAL AND IN A LEACHING SOLUTION IS INHIBITED, AND THE pH OF THE LEACHING SOLUTION IS ADJUSTED TO 1.5 OR LESS AFTER LEACHING OF COPPER FROM MINERALS FROM SULFIDE THEY CONTAIN CHALCOPYRITE. THE GROWTH OF THE MICROORGANISMS IS INHIBITED BY THE FOLLOWING METHODS: i) THROUGH THE HEATING OF THE MINERALS TO 100 ºC OR MORE BEFORE THE LEACHING; ii) TREATING THE MINERALS WITH AN AGENT CAPABLE OF INHIBITING THE GROWTH OF THE MICROORGANISMS BEFORE THE LEACHING; AND iii) ADDING AN AGENT CAPABLE OF INHIBITING THE GROWTH OF MICROORGANISMS TO A LEACHING SOLUTION
