EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN ACILAR UN 42-HIDROXI RAPAMICINA CON UN DONADOR DE ACILO EN PRESENCIA DE UNA LIPASA MICROBIANA TAL COMO LA DE CANDIDA ANTARCTICA TIPO B(LIPASA NOVOZYM 435), PSEUDOMONAS (LIPASA PS-C "AMANO" II), ENTRE OTROS. EL DONADOR DE ACILO ES UN VINILESTER TAL COMO ACETATO, PROPIONATO, CLOROACETATO DE VINILO, ENTRE OTROS, SIENDO PREFERIDO 3-HIDROXI-2(HIDROXIMETIL)-3-METILPROPIONATO DE VINILO; UN ISOPROPENILESTER TAL COMO ACETATO DE ISOPROPENILO; O UN ANHIDRIDO TAL COMO UN ANHIDRIDO ALCANOICO DE CADENA RECTA O RAMIFICADA.
