Abstract
A component 100 for connection to a mounting region 220 of an electrical outlet or switch plate, comprising at least two walls opposite to each other, each of the at least two walls comprising a respective non-deflectable retaining surface 122 which in use, engage with a sliding connector 400, to connect the component to the mounting region 220, component parts at least partially housed within the component, and a component interface 130 for controlling at least one of the component parts. The system provides for faster and more convenient connection and disconnection of electrical devices.
