Abstract
The present application discloses a push-button switch assembly (500) and an operational part (400) used in a push-button switch assembly (500). The push-button switch assembly (500) comprises: a functional part (100); an operational part (400) for actuation by a user and for controlling the functional part (100) via an interface (300) between the operational part (400) and the functional part (100), wherein the interface (300) in use, translates linear force imparted by the operational part (400) when actuated by the user, to rocking force applied to the functional part (100). The operational part (400) is configured to apply the linear force to the interface (300) when the operational part (400) is in any one of at least two different orientations with respect to the interface (300). This allows the orientation of the operational part (400) to be changed without the user having to correspondingly change the orientation of the interface (300) and functional part (100). (Figure 10)
